Community Service at First Baptist Church - Sunday September 5

The final Summer community service will be held on Sunday, September 5 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in downtown Hightstown. We will worship with our friends and neighbors from the Baptist and Methodist churches. There will be NO 10 AM service in our Sanctuary that day.

Apple Gleaning - Thursday September 9

Children in Kindergarten through 8th grade are invited to join Farmers Against Hunger to glean apples at Summer Hill Orchards on Thursday, September 9. Two years ago, 1,500 lbs of apples were gleaned and last year, we topped the scales at 3,000 lbs.

Farmers Against Hunger gathers the gleaned apples and takes them to a church in Trenton. The apples are then shared with eight other inner-city churches that distribute them to people in their surrounding communities. We will meet at th [...]

Mission Trip Sunday - March 7

We are happy to tell you that the members of our adult mission trip to Ghana returned home last Sunday and all are well. They had a very successful trip. They are going to share their experiences with the congregation during worship this Sunday, March 7. Please note that this is a change in schedule. Each Wednesday evening at 7 pm during Lent, Fellowship Hall is the place for some spectacular soup and fellowship.

How can everyone be involved? Glad you asked! We'd love to have you simmer your favorite soup recipe and share it with all.

The meals are prepared by members of the congregation who volunteer their time and bounty in service to the community. The menu is simple -- soup, bread and grapes. Music, reflection and prayer follows the supper.

It's time for our third annual Crock Pot Cook-Off! It's this Saturday, February 13 at 5:30 PM in Fellowship Hall.

In honor of Valentine's Day, we'll be accepting entries in two categories - red and white. Please think about entering a delicious appetizer, main dish or dessert! This is often due to issues resulting from fistula and poor birthing practices. It is hard to think that there are places in this world where a child can lose their mother simply because they did not have access to a routine doctor visit. On Saturday, April 25, Better Beginnings will hold their annual Shining Star Gala. One of the recipients of a Shining Star this year will be our youth group. Our children are being recognized for all of their efforts in various areas of mission, including their annual mission trip, volunteering at the Trenton Presbyterian Church serving breakfast to the homeless, assisting with projects around the church, etc.
