In September, our Christian Education Programs will awaken from a year of virtual everything and invite children, youth, and families to come back to Sunday school, Youth Group, Kids Club and Messy Church. We understand that everyone has different levels of feeling safe and will start the year out with all wearing masks — children, youth, and adults — when indoors. Be assured that all those working with your children, adults and youth, will have been vaccinated.
The length of the program will be shorter at first, as we practice safety and social distancing. Below you will find start up dates for all of our programs, as well as brief descriptions of each. We ask that you email or text 609-954-8977 to let us know what you are interested in attending and if you are okay with your child not wearing a mask when outdoors. There will be a more comprehensive registration form for each activity to complete when you arrive.
Sundays beginning in November 2020 children and homebound adults connected through a PenPal program. Children would meet on Zoom for a Bible story, craft and conversation. They would package their craft to send to their PenPal, then their adult PenPal would send them back a letter. From this intergenerational program our youngest members were able to get to know some of our other members a little better.
Kids Club will begin the first Wednesday of October, with 1 hour of fun and activities centered around a Bible Story. Included will be a time for games and art. We will not serve a meal initially, though we hope to resume fully in January of 2022. Space is limited so please if you are interested contact our Director of Christian Education, Mary Maleski or text her at 609-954-8977 by Wednesday, September 22nd. There will be space for 30 children.
Reverend Lisa Day will be leading a Bible study Tuesdays at 10:00am using Zoom. Each week, we will be studying the scripture for the following Sunday. You can download Zoom to your computer, tablet or smartphone and then click on the link to join by video. To join zoom for free:

Every Saturday at 7:00pm a small group gathers on Zoom. The group reads scripture selected by a participant and discusses the reading: what it means to them or how it affects them. The conversation begins with The Word but takes on a life of its own. The gathering typically lasts 1½ to 2 hours. If you would like to get closer to some of your fellow congregants in a spiritual yet free-form way, come join us. We would love to share this special experience with you. Email for more information.
With practice we do everything better. By practicing prayer, attending worship and Sunday school, singing, and being part of a faith community that celebrates diversity, we are able to help our children claim their place as children of God, welcome and loved in this place. In addition, parents and this faith community honor the promise we make at their baptism, giving them a faith that they can believe in and hold on to throughout life.
This year Sunday School will run simultaneously with Worship. The children will begin Worship as part of their larger church family and will then leave after “A Time for the Young at Heart.”
Pre-K – 2nd Grade will go to Children & Worship
3rd – 6th Grade will go to Sunday School (the first Sunday of each month there will not be a class for the older children. This class will attend Worship.

Adult Ed will meet on Sunday, September 18th at 9:15AM in Kendall Lounge to begin an 8-session video course focused on living the Gospel in today's world called Gospel in Life: Grace Changes Everything. Timothy Keller, senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, will show us how to bring the Gospel into our lives - first in our heart, then in our community and ultimately out into the world. Study guides will be distributed on the 18th and our first session of the Gospel Life begins on the 25th. All are welcome. Please join us!

We are pleased to announce that Youth Group will begin again in person in September. In order to be as safe as possible we will wear masks when indoors and practice social distancing. When outdoors, with parental permission unanimous, masks need not be worn, but our social distance policy will remain.
This year we have decided to split our youth group into two groups: Middle School (5th – 7th grade) and Senior High. We are happy to have enough youth for both groups. The groups will meet on separate Sundays, with the hope that there will be some opportunities throughout the year in which they will meet together. This will also allow us to keep the groups smaller, enabling us to social distance and keep meeting even when the weather makes it necessary to move indoors. Below you will find the calendar for both youth groups.
Middle School age youth will meet twice a month for youth group, 6:00–7:00pm at church.
Senior High youth will meet once a month for youth group, 6:00–7:30pm
12th: Senior High will meet
19th: Middle School will meet
26th: Confirmation Sunday: Middle School will meet
Beginning in October Senior Highs will meet the first Sunday of each month and the Middle School Youth Group will meet the 2nd & 3rd Sunday. The 4th Sunday we hope all will participate in Messy Church.
3rd: Senior High will meet
10th: Middle School will meet
17th: Middle School will meet
